It’s taken longer than I’d originally planned, but Hollywood Romance will officially be out on the 5 April 2024!
I’d originally planned to release it in the summer of 2022, but I was just too burned out from writing Hollywood Heartbreak. It was a really emotionally challenging and draining book to work on.
Hollywood Romance was the opposite. It’s been a remedy to me during challenging times.
It’s also been a way for me to project some of the struggles I went through when working on Hollywood Heartbreak, and find a way to the other side.
You’ll notice similar threads between this and The Poltergeist’s Ship as I was working on them in parallel while coming out of creative burnout.
I won’t say any more than that because of spoilers, but just know that once Hollywood Romance is done, Afterlife Calls will be my priority.

In the early days of the What Happens in Hollywood Universe, I worked on nonfiction books between every couple of novels. I’ve stopped writing nonfiction (although I still do client work) and I think that had an impact on my ability to write.
Plus I set out to challenge myself with The Witch’s Sacrifice and The Mean Girl’s Murder. And I did.
But when you combine challenging yourself creatively and emotionally…
…you get creative burnout.
Anyway.
I’m BACK now.
I’m not sure how many more books I’ll publish this year.
What I can tell you is that you’ll get at least two: Hollywood Romance and The Poltergeist’s Ship.
And maybe the seventh Afterlife Calls book, The Dead Man’s Blood. I tried to edit it while Hollywood Romance was with the beta readers but I was too distracted by the new characters and just binge read it instead ????
So take that as a good sign.
But anyway, back to Tate and Jack.
